Is it a real flame? Is it safe to leave running?
No flame, no combustion, nothing consumable. It's cool mist lit from below by an amber LED array. There is nothing to catch, spread, or blow out — which is why people run it overnight and while the cat has the room to itself.
Does it actually humidify, or is it just the light?
Both, and the two run independently. Mist alone for dry air. Flame alone as a lamp. Both together for the full effect. The mist is real ultrasonic output, not a light-up prop.
Will it leak, spit, or mark my nightstand?
Ultrasonic mist leaves the slot as vapour, not droplets. Keep it level and give it a few inches of clearance so the sheet forms cleanly. On untreated wood a coaster is sensible with any humidifier — but there's no drip tray here to overflow.
What happens when it runs out of water?
It shuts itself down. The onboard chip detects the empty reservoir and cuts power to the mist module — no dry-running, no burning out, no waking up to fix it. Fill it, close your eyes, forget about it.
Can I use my essential oils in it?
Yes — a few drops of water-soluble oil in the reservoir. Go light. Thick carrier oils and heavy resins gum up any ultrasonic plate, so stick to proper diffuser blends and rinse the tank when you change scent.
How long does it take to arrive?

How well is it built? What if something fails?
Tight two-piece moulding, no glued seams, a soft-touch matte shell that resists scuffs and fingerprints. If the light engine or mist module fails, we replace the unit — send one photo and we handle it. No repair queue, no shipping it back and forth.
How do I clean it?
Unplug, lift the top shell off the fluted base, empty it, wipe the reservoir with a soft cloth. Every couple of weeks a rinse of diluted white vinegar keeps the plate clear on hard water. Two minutes, no tools.
